Crush ’00 Lyon finished in second place at the Tennessee Premier Cup over Labor Day weekend in the u-13 Girls Gold Bracket.  During the weekend Lyon went 2-1-1 with wins over VFC Arsenal and TUSC.  Their third game against last years state champions turned out to be the championship game as the winner would take home first place honors.  After falling behind early in the first half, Lyon managed to take over play and go up 2-1 before half time.  Lyon came out strong in the second half trying to add to their lead, but gave up a goal with eight minutes left in the game.  TSC 18 was able to add a late winner to take home first place and Lyon finished in second for the weekend.

Coach Scott Muir added, "We had a good weekend and learned a lot about our team.  The girls came from behind in three games, which shows they have a lot of heart and determination.  We have many things we need to improve before getting into the state tournament next year.  With some hard work and focus this team has a great opportunity to be the best in Tennessee."
