Crush '00 Lyon finished off the fall season by winning the Under Armour Cup in Charlotte.  Lyon started off the weekend by losing 3-0 to a very opportunistic Burlington team out of North Carolina.  Even though they controlled play most of the game, Lyon was unable to take advantage of their chances in front of the goal.  Their second game became a must win if they wanted to advance in the tournament and were finally rewarded for their outstanding play with a 3-0 victory.  When Sunday came around, Lyon was all business in trying to make it to the finals.  In their semifinal game Crush was up against Weddington Soccer club to see who who advance to the final.  Lyon again took control of the game from the start and had plenty of play in the attacking half of the field.  After a couple of close opportunities, Lyon was able to take a 1-0 lead and never looked back.  By tacking a second goal on in the second half, Lyon was on their way to the championship game.  The final saw a rematch between Burlington and Lyon, and not wanting to make the same mistake twice, Lyon finished their opportunities in this game to win 3-0.

Coach Scott Muir added, "It was a great way to finish the season.  We played some very attractive soccer and the girls were rewarded for their hard work.  We have spent a lot of time on keeping the ball and it showed this weekend.  These girls were the best team at the tournament and needed to walk away with the Championship."
